Tandoori chicken recipe
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and salt.
Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and use your hands to coat each piece with the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and brush it with the vegetable oil.
Arrange the chicken pieces on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and lightly charred.
Serve the tandoori chicken hot with naan bread, rice, or your favorite side dishes.
